Adelaide Chamber Players
Adelaide Chamber Players was founded in 2007 featuring Adelaide’s finest young musicians from the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra as well as the city’s best chamber ensembles. The players share a passion for music making and for communicating the invigorating and exciting music that has been written for chamber orchestra over the centuries.
Adelaide Chamber Singers
Adelaide Chamber Singers is widely respected as one of Australia’s leading chamber choirs. Formed in 1985 by Artistic Director Carl Crossin OAM, ACS has undertaken six international tours (including UK, USA, Japan, Norway and Canada), released five CDs and performed at the Adelaide, Melbourne and Perth Festivals.
Australian String Quartet
The Australian String Quartet (Sophie Rowell – violin, Anne Horton – violin, Sally Boud – viola, Rachel Johnston – cello) performs throughout Australia and around the world and holds the distinction of having won more international chamber music competitions than any other ensemble in Australian history.
The Firm
The Firm promotes the performance of new solo and chamber works,’ particularly those of South Australian composers, and also provides a performance platform for some of Australias finest musicians.
The Kegelstatt Ensemble
The energetic young musicians of The Kegelstatt Ensemble are recognised for their sensitive, insightful performances. The core of the ensemble is a trio – clarinet, viola and piano – taking its name from Mozart’s “Kegelstatt” trio for this combination. Guest artists on various instruments allow the ensemble to perform masterworks spanning the entire chamber music repertoire.

Selby & Friends presents TRIOZ
TRIOZ was invited in 2008 to be the first ensemble–in–residence at the prestigious City Recital Hall Angel Place in Sydney – a first by a major venue in Australia. Comprising internationally renowned Australian pianist, Kathryn Selby, young South Australian of the year and former host of Classical Destinations, violinist Niki Vasilakis, and former principal cellist with the ACO Emma’Jane Murphy, this ensemble is the darling of critics and audiences nationwide.
Seraphim Trio
Founded in 1994, Seraphim Trio comprises pianist Anna Goldsworthy, violinist Helen Ayres, and cellist Timothy Nankervis. The Trio won the leading piano trio and the audience choice awards in the 2001 Australian National Chamber Music Competition and has performed in Italy, Japan, at the Schönberg Festival in Vienna, and in Noumea for Musica Viva.
Soundstream: Adelaide New Music Festival
Soundstream: Adelaide New Music Festival is a celebration of New Music in Australia. Founded in 2008 by Gabriella Smart, the festival aims to create a profile for contemporary classical music in South Australia and to reflect and shape contemporary Australian culture through excellence in new music performance practice, composition and education.
State Opera of South Australia
The State Opera of South Australia was established in 1976 to promote the art of the opera and related theatrical arts. Each year, The State Opera presents at least three major operatic productions at the Festival Theatre in Adelaide as well as producing and supporting many smaller productions in The Opera Studio.
Syntony Vocal Ensemble
Adelaide’s acclaimed vocal ensemble, is recognised for its outstanding crystalline sound and a dynamic blend of musical interpretation and ideas. It explores the essence of vocal music and its relationship between composer, performer and audience. Syntony programs music from a broad variety of genres including Medieval, Renaissance, Baroque and Contemporary Australian, presented in innovative concerts with evocative coherent themes.
