Experience some of the 400 works of a most important 20th century film artist, a modernist and yet a romantic focusing on life, death, love and the search for God. Original music is by Stephen Whittington, who knew Brakhage, the rest by composers who inspired this influential maker of experimental films.

St Peter’s Cathedral, North Adelaide

One of the world’s leading virtuoso exponents of his instrument, Crabb is also a hugely versatile musician, in demand all over as “…a performer of perfect poise, taste and passion…” (The Observer, UK). In this program he gives a wide-ranging introduction to the classical accordion. Works by Jean Philippe Rameau, Edvard Grieg, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, Sofia Gubaidulina, John Zorn, Elena Kats-Chernin and Astor Piazzolla.
