Australian String Quartet
The Australian String Quartet (Sophie Rowell – violin, Anne Horton – violin, Sally Boud – viola, Rachel Johnston – cello) performs throughout Australia and around the world and holds the distinction of having won more international chamber music competitions than any other ensemble in Australian history.

The Australian String Quartet presents the sparkling clarity of Haydn’s ‘Bird’ followed by the atmospheric first quartet of one of Australia’s most exciting composers, Paul Stanhope. Flight features the superb musicianship of pianist Lucinda Collins in a performance of Brahms’ turbulent Piano Quintet, a work that the composer revised several times before forging its final darkly brilliant form.
